DESCRIPTION
Always passionate about nautical furnishings, Gio Ponti acquired direct experience on four transatlantic liners and two cruise ships restructured or built from scratch in the post-war period, between 1949 and 1951: the Conte Grande, the Africa, the Oceania, the Conte Biancamano, the Andrea Doria and the Giulio Cesare. Ponti designed this armchair with slight variations for these ships. Dimensions: H 75 cm, W 70 cm, D 74 cm.
